Now accepting Hockey Registrations for the 2012 Winter Session,
which begins the first week in January and runs approximately 11 weeks.
New players can mail the new player registration forms.
On-time registrations will be accepted through December 19, 2011.
“Late” registration will start December 20.
Teams are filling up fast; please register ASAP.

Mailing Information
GSHL,

information (include expiration date), to
prevent delays in processing.
Divisions
Mites -- 6 to 9 year olds
Squirts -- 10 to 13 year olds
Juniors -- 14 to 17 year olds
The GSHL is a Recreational League and uses a hockey ball during all practices and games.
Teams
GSHL will do its best to keep
returning players on the same team, However,
GSHL reserves the right to move players in
order to balance the teams. All new players
will be placed evenly throughout all teams.
Scheduling
One hour practice times will vary by teams
and divisions. The GSHL Registration Coordinator will
contact your child via email before the start of the season to communicate
and forward team assignment, practice times, team roster, and season calendar.
Fees
League fees for "on
time" registrants are $215.00 per player
payable to: The Golden Skate Hockey League
(please write your child's name on your check).
The "on time" $215 registration
fee will be accepted up until (1) one week
after the last day of each hockey season.
Registration forms received after that time
will be considered late, and late registrants
will be charged a "late registrant"
fee of $260. There will be a discount for
players in more than one division, and for
siblings.
Refund Policy
The Golden Skate Hockey League fees are nonrefundable.
Jerseys
All teams at GSHL wear Sharks Home (White) and Away (Teal) colored practice Jerseys with players name and number on the back. Each player should have one Jersey in each color with name and number. During the registration process we will assign you a number, or you can request one. Jerseys can be as fancy or plain as you want, but should be as close as possible to the San Jose Sharks color scheme. Jerseys can be purchased and labeled at Hockey xSport in Oakland (call ahead to check sizes – 510 638-6004), or online at Hockey Monkey, or a plain practice Jersey will work too, with name and number. If you can’t find teal, black will do.
Required Gear
Hockey skates, helmet (with
full face cage, preferable HECC approved),
knee/shin guards, elbow pads, hockey gloves,
hockey stick, protective cup (boys) and colored
mouth guard preferably on a tether.
Print and fill out the
appropriate Golden Skate
registration forms and
bring them in or mail them and payment to The Golden
Skate for processing.
"On Time" League Registration

Note: New players who
did not play the last season will need to schedule
a time to come for a simple try-out.
