Divisions
Mites -- 6 to 9 year olds
Squirts -- 10 to 13 year olds
Juniors -- 14 to 17 year olds
The GSHL is a Recreational League and uses a hockey ball during all practices and games.
Teams
GSHL will do its best to keep
returning players on the same team, However,
GSHL reserves the right to move players in
order to balance the teams. All new players
will be placed evenly throughout all teams.
Scheduling
Mites games will be on Tuesdays at 4pm
Squirts will play on Tuesdays at 5pm, 6pm or 7pm
Juniors will play on Tuesdays at 8pm or 9pm
One hour practice times will vary by teams
and divisions. Typically, Mites practice
on Mondays at 4pm. Squirts and Juniors
typically practice on Mondays at 5 pm.,
Wednesdays at 4pm or 5pm, or Thursdays
at 4pm or 5pm. The GSHL Registration Coordinator will
contact your child via email before the start of the season to communicate
and forward team assignment, practice times, team roster, and season calendar.
Fees
League fees for "on
time" registrants are $195.00 per player
payable to: The Golden Skate Hockey League
(please write your child's name on your check).
The "on time" $195 registration
fee will be accepted up until (1) one week
after the last day of each hockey season.
Registration forms received after that time
will be considered late, and late registrants
will be charged a "late registrant"
fee of $260. There will be a discount for
players in more than one division, and for
siblings. All players are required to purchase
insurance through USA Hockey Inline. The annual
fee for this insurance is $25.00. Insurance
renewal is in September for all players and
coaches. Please write a separate check payable
to USA Hockey Inline for $25.00.
Refund Policy
The Golden Skate Hockey League
and USA Hockey Inline fees are nonrefundable.
Jerseys
Team parents will see that each
player is assigned a team jersey. The cost
of the jersey will range from $30.00 to $40.00.
Required Gear
Hockey skates, helmet (with
full face cage, preferable HECC approved),
knee/shin guards, elbow pads, hockey gloves,
hockey stick, protective cup (boys) and colored
mouth guard preferably on a tether.
ALL players, coaches and referees must register online with USA Inline, see link below.
Participants must bring a copy of their confirmation page and/or number with barcode
when they register for Fall season at the Golden Skate on August 19th and 26th.
We will collect all USA registration confirmations provided,
and scan them into a database to activate your memberships.
Print and fill out the
appropriate Golden Skate and USA Hockey Inline
registration forms and
bring them into The Golden
Skate for processing.
